Summary of Position

The Logistics Coordinator (LC) provides direct support to the Public Work's department, reporting to the Operations Manager and will directly support in-office and field staff logistics, along with general administrative services to the field staff. The role incorporates assigned responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle, to support resource planning, travel logistics and daily reporting of field team activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications: Under the guidance of the project manager, the individual will assist and support in the representative tasks listed below and progressively be responsible for performing these tasks independently.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  • Responsible for all aspects of field staff travel
    • lodging, vehicles, flights, etc.
  • Facilitate project level management to include invoicing and status report support
  • Support and provide information related to resource planning
  • Support staff logistics for both in-office and field staff
  • Gather information and perform basic analysis of financial, quality, production, and program information
  • Perform general administration tasks on a day-to-day basis including data entry and recordkeeping of field staff activities
  • Document and improve existing process and workflow; share best practices
  • Work cohesively with the team to meet deadlines
  • Provide general support to the project management

 Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of planning and resourcing of project execution and workflow
  • Proficient understanding of computers, databases, and software, including MS Office suite, MS Project or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Basic understanding of survey and geospatial operations is not required, but preferred

 Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of one year of job related experience in office administration or associate project management.
  • Experience in planning and execution of travel coordination is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Project Management, Geography or related fields are preferred but not required

 License and/or Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • US Citizenship required

Travel up to 10% to job sites for quarterly audit of logistical process implementation is required
